The farmstead functions as a guesthouse and o!ers visitors a contemporary agricultural experience. Large glass openings within the building’s shell, create views to the landscape, ensuring a constant connection with the natural environment beyond the footprint of the building. The land has a gradual slope towards the water’s edge, scattered with rocky outcrops and mature trees, creating the perfect opportunity to introduce various floor levels set within the landscape.

The flat areas of the site are reserved for horse stables and associated agricultural activities. All concrete roofs have been detailed with steel edge-beams, and paired with thin clerestory windows, enhancing the illusion of floating above the thick walls. Large sliding doors with broad overhangs, thermal flooring, and roofs planted with indigenous species, ensure that the interior climate is perfectly balanced for all seasons of the year.
